Charlie Landers, a teenager who is the greatest player in the world for the video game Hero Rising gets hired by a multi-billionaire T. Abner Hall to take on some of the most cruel masterminds that used to work for Mr. hall. Their mission is to conquer the world through fear, science and technology. Mr. Hall has given Charlie the gear to tackle them head on. Armed with an android assistant S.T.A.N.Charlie must go on missions around the world to thwart the efforts of the criminal masterminds known as the Omega Defiance.
With his father deceased he has to be the man of the family and protect and watch over his brother Jason and mom Amanda. Charlie was given the nickname Aaron Stone by his dad after bad experience at school with bullies. He took on that name and created the Avatar Aaron Stone in his online multiplayer experiences as a gamer. No one is allowed to know that Hero Rising is real as ordered by Mr. Hall as to avoid panic and chaos so in some ways Charlie is like a superhero with a cover identity.
